About Daron Rude

I first discovered neon decades ago. At 22 years old, I wandered into a neon room and instantly knew that making neon was my calling. A long story made short - through hard work and determination, I secured an apprenticeship under master craftsman Gord Kilburn in Vancouver at the then-still prestigious Neon Products on Clark Drive, where I honed my skills in the old-school art of bending glass. For nearly 20 years, I supplied neon to sign companies—until LEDs took over, prompting me to step away from the industry, feeling unimpressed with the shift.

Now, back 3 years , after two decades away, I've a renewed vision: to build the best signs possible, showcasing exceptional neon craftsmanship - which is easy for me, it's what I always did. Now we add exceptional metal work in our cabinet buidling and exceptional finish in our painting.  We take immense pride in every aspect of our work. Each sign I restore or new idea I embark on transforms into a love affair; it’s always sad to see them go when it’s time.

In our Alberta-based studio, we’re a small team dedicated to vintage sign restoration and creating new works—always with the highest craftsmanship and materials. For us, every detail matters, whether seen or unseen. Every single thing we do is an opportunity to do an awesome job. "Every bend is an opportunity to make the perfect bend," as my old mentor Gord Kilburn used to say.

We're not trying to sell signs to companies that are looking for the cheapest sign. There are lots of those out there. We're offering a premium product for those who appreciate  obvious quality. And we're chasing  the satisfaction that comes from creating those things.
